The AIEP team is comprised of caring and professional individuals with years of experience in the international homestay industry.  With both English and Mandarin-speaking support staff, our students, parents and schools receive the support they need to facilitate success.  Additionally, we have dedicated staff in both the U.S. and China to ensure our clients receive outstanding and timely responses to their individual needs.

As a Local Coordinator Supervisor,  Daisy manages a team of 10 Local Coordinators who oversee families in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, and New Jersey. She plans and implements webinar trainings and Host Parent Orientations, and helps support relationships with our partner schools.

While working with AIEP, Daisy has enjoyed learning about the Chinese culture and traditions, and discovering the similarities between American and Chinese teenagers.

Daisy enjoys working for a company that fosters a sense of community, and provides their employees with opportunities for growth; AIEP cares for their employees and their families.

On a personal note, Daisy is a mother to 3 adult children, and a grandmother to 3 beautiful grandchildren. She is also a host parent for AIEP and enjoys the experience with her host students. In her free time, Daisy enjoys cleaning her house, listening to music, and watching Disney movies with her grandchildren.

As a Local Coordinator, Nicole is responsible for the recruitment, interviewing, and screening of potential host families.  Nicole works closely with schools and maintains a close relationship with the students ‘ host families.

Nicole graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She has a strong background and years of experience in working with students and has now explored the international student field with AIEP.

Nicole’s favorite part of the job is all of the variety of people she gets to meet – host families, students, co-workers, and school officials.  Meeting new people and developing interpersonal relationships makes her position rewarding.

In her spare time Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and staying active.

As a Local Coordinator, with many years of experience in the education field, Carol evaluates and resolves student’s inquiries, issues, and problems. She also ensures appropriate actions were implemented to the satisfaction of students and parents. Carol works closely with schools and has a good relationship with host families. She enjoys interacting with her students and helping them adapt to life in America.

Carol is a mother of 2 daughters and loves to go hiking and traveling with her family.

As a Local Coordinator, Ignacio brings AIEP’s team his professional skills as a Social Worker. He has many years of experience as a Case Manager and loves to help his community. His favorite part of the job is meeting new families and building relationships with students.

Ignacio is a husband and father of 5 children along with a foster child. He loves spending time with his family, enjoys watching and playing sports, and loves listening to music.

As a Local Coordinator, Sandra is a very dedicated person to her host families and students. She is also an independent school educator who has been marked with high standards of education, student-teacher dedication, and enthusiasm for student success. Throughout this time, Sandra has gained valuable insights while educating hundreds of students by providing authentic learning opportunities that integrate creative instruction and an appreciation of one’s culture. She embraces her experiences of studying abroad, living with host families, teaching ESL students.

Throughout her life,  Sandra appreciates her Italian heritage that encouraged me to pursue my career in teaching Spanish and Italian and later pursuing her highest teaching degree in TESOL. She believes in the capacity of her students to acquire a second language and letting them feel that they are the most important learners and allow the opportunity to speak the target language with ease and comfort.

Sandra feels extremely fortunate to have this position to meet new potential host families and welcome international students to our organization. She enjoys communicating with parents and school officials in a positive and supportive way for the best of the student.

During her free time, Sandra enjoys spending time with family, friends, and walks on the beach.

As a Local Coordinator, Theresa supports her schools and host families. She is also a proud Marine Corps Veteran who served in the ’80s. Theresa has also a background in the American Medical Response. She always strives for ways to promote success for all of her students and families. Her favorite part of the job is recruiting new host families and working with the current families and schools.

Theresa loves to spend time with her 4 children 2 daughters, 2 sons, and her grandchild. In her free time, she loves to garden, read, crochet, and host family dinners.

As a Student Coordinator Supervisor, Leah checks in with students and makes sure they are doing well at the host families’ home and at school. She also supervises the Student Coordinators.

Leah graduated from UConn and has a background in teaching. Her favorite part of the job is listening to students sharing their experiences about their new lifestyle and how they are getting adjusted to the American culture.

Leah loves being a team leader and part of the AIEP team. She enjoys going hiking with her family and friends and watching Korean and Chinese dramas.

As a Student Coordinator, Fatimah works closely with Local Coordinators. She is dedicated to support her students and natural parents.

She studied in NYC and has a background as a consultant, helping international students to apply for high schools and colleges in the United States. With many years of experience in the education field, Fatimah knows the challenges the students face and the concerns the parents have.

She loves working for AIEP where she has maintained a consistent passion for helping the students to experience U.S. education and enjoy the American lifestyle.

In her free time, Fatimah loves reading, listening to music, and watching movies.

As a Student Coordinator, Chenxing works with local coordinators and serves the students and their parents to gain a satisfying experience throughout the AIEP program.

Chenxing graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in China and a Master’s degree in Communication in Florida. Her passion for student affairs can be traced back to her college time. She worked as a Marketing and Recruitment Assistant with Chinese students for more than one year and found her career path in the field of educations and international student affairs. The students she has worked with turn out to succeed academically, socially, and culturally.

Chenxing is actively involved with community activities and committed to CrossFit. New things make her excited and she likes to challenge herself. Out of the office, she is a low productive photographer and documentary filmmaker.
