Upcoming AGE Conference for Global Educators 5/3/19

We hope to see you at the third annual Association of Global Educators (AGE) Conference in Derby, CT on Friday, May 3, 2019 sponsored by AIEP Host Families. Over 60 independent, parochial and public schools throughout CT, MA, MD, NJ, NY, and RI are invited to attend. Official registration materials with more details will be sent the second week of March. This dynamic, one-day conference provides an opportunity for PreK – Grade 12 school administrators, coordinators and educators who currently serve international students to learn from experts in the field and connect with one another to share ideas, information and best practices. The Conference will also feature practical information and current topics on international student recruitment as well as retention. It is also appropriate for those who want to learn “how to” launch an international program, including recruitment and resources for administrators and teachers.

Featuring Keynote Speaker: Jian Shen

Jian Shen is a New Haven based psychotherapist. She specializes in multicultural counseling for adolescents and young adults. Jian’s presentation will provide helpful tips for schools and educators on empathetic listening, assertiveness and effective communication skills for interactions with Chinese students and their families.
