AIEP Cadet Student Spotlight

We are so proud of our student, Bella Yang attending St. Joseph H.S. in Trumbull, CT for being recognized in St. John’s newsletter!

Each year, St Joseph High School students participate in the Students Rebuild Challenge sponsored by the Bezos Family Foundation. This year, for each recipe mailed to the challenge, the Foundation donated $3 to programs fighting hunger.

After the challenge was over, the Foundation created a Cookbook (view here). Out of 75,692 submissions, one of our very own has been chosen for inclusion — Bella (Qingyu) Yang’s recipe for Creamy Chicken Stew! Way to go, Bella, we are so proud of your contribution to the challenge!

St Joes’ has been a member of this partnership for over ten years, raising awareness and funds for a number of projects from disaster relief in Japan to building classrooms in refugee camps in Syria, to ocean clean up. We are excited to get involved once again this year!
